ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Dan O'Dell and Lydia Wilson of Montreat College are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's and Women's Cross Country Runners of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2019 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 9.

O'Dell, a sophomore from Naples, Fla., won the Warren Wilson Invitational on Friday with a time of 16:11.

Wilson, a junior from Smithfield, Va., also collected an individual win at the Warren Wilson Invitational with a time of 11:57.

Both runners helped the Cavaliers capture team wins in their respective 2019 season openers.
